How Web 2.0 is Built – Yahoo! France

Submitted by on April 11, 2006 – 5:31 amOne Comment

SecretPrices.com was recently mentioned in the article “How Web 2.0 is built” posted April 6th on Yahoo! France. I can get the general gist of what it is saying from the translated version, but not 100%. If anyone knows French, I’d like to know really like to know what it says exactly.

You may want to update the links there…. it’s actually an article from ZDnet France and is the second page of this article:

    http://www.zdnet.fr/actualites/internet/0,39020774,39334479-1,00.htm

Basically, it says that the mash-ups aren’t content bringing in info from just one api, but rather draw from multiple sources at the same time. Then it uses secretprices as an example, saying that it compares Amazon prices for a product with prices from shopping.com merchants.

That’s paraphrased, not directly translated but I can give you a direct translation if you need one… you wouldn’t get anything more out of it though.
